Two products that look close on paper and bill the same way — where the gap is really about scope, and about what a monthly subscription costs against an annual one.

Smoobu and Rentals Hub both bill per unit per month and cover the same core: one calendar, a channel manager, a direct booking website. On 21 September 2026 Smoobu’s Professional plan was advertised from around €23 excluding tax per month for one unit on annual billing, and more on monthly. Rentals Hub charges €13 excluding tax per unit per month on Pro, with no commitment. Smoobu, on the other hand, covers guest messaging and offers a dynamic pricing add-on, neither of which Rentals Hub does.

What they do better than us

Smoobu is a good product and more complete than ours on several counts. Three of them can decide the matter on their own.

  • Built-in guest messaging with automated messages — Rentals Hub has none.
  • A dynamic pricing add-on, billed separately, which we do not offer at all.
  • More connected platforms than our six direct connections.
  • A real discount, if an annual commitment does not bother you.

What we do differently

What we set against it comes down to three things, and the last is the least visible.

  • A lower monthly price per unit, without committing for a year to get it.
  • The plan chosen unit by unit: you pay for platform connection only where it earns its keep.
  • A double booking flagged and movable in two clicks, rather than discovered.
  • A scope owned up to and published, rather than a list that leaves you to find the holes.
